Introducing the Windmill Brewery's 1838 Pilsner
Windmill Brewery selects all its’ ingredients based on local selections. We use all natural ingredients Water, Malted Barley, Hops, and Yeast. An all natural brew with no added preservatives. Following up with a grain to glass experience.
The 1838 Pilsner by Windmill is an easy drinking lager that is not only crisp, but also clean and provides a refreshing taste after every sip. As a family owned business we put our quality control into each brew.
The town of Plzen in Bohemia had been making Bier since the 1200s and, in 1842, the Bavarian brewer Josef Groll travelled there and tested a new Lager recipe. Groll's new brewing techniques produced the very first golden, clear Beer in Europe. This drink became known as Pilsner, which means "from Plzen" in German. The town began producing this golden Beer on a large scale, with enormous cellars cut into rock for the lagering process.
